1. Does it cost anything to use Handyloft.com?

Nope! This site is absolutely free to post ads in every category. However, choosing to Feature your ad on the homepage carries a nominal fee.

2. Can I really advertise ANYTHING?

You can advertise anything as long as it’s legal. Legal, but want to be sure? Stop by our prohibited items declaration below(Question #7) if you have a questionable item that you want to check on.

3. Why has not my ad shown up in the listings?

Normally all ads are approved automatically and being posted to the site immediately. But we will check manually if you ad was offensive, spam, viral marketing or did not pass our quality tests, then it will be deleted and will never make it to the main listing. If someone tries to post multiple listings which all violate posting rules, he will probably be banned from using Handyloft.com any more.

4. How long will my ad run?

Your ad will run for 30 days. Instead of unlimited listing time, your free ads run for 30 days and after which you can relist the ad with the convenient “one touch” relist button from your account dashboard. Paid ads will last until expiry.

5. How can I increase the chance of getting a good response to my Ad?

To increase the chance of getting a good response, follow these simple tips:

Include one or more pictures in your Ad.
Make the title and description as detailed as possible. For example, when selling a product include its brand, model number, condition, and features.
If you are flexible on price, state that you will accept “best offer”.
Make it easy for the buyer to pick up the item; let them know where the item is located and when you will be available.
Tell your friends about Handyloft. The more people who use Handyloft, the more responses you’ll get!

In addition, Handyloft offers a paid feature which can increase the visibility of your Ad. To purchase a feature for your Ad, edit your Ad and select the featured ads option during listing procedure.

6. How can I advertise my business on Handyloft using banners?

There are multiple banner advertising spaces available on Handyloft, e.g., header banner, sidebar widgets, content banner… etc. If you are interested, simple contact us and we will make a perfect plan for you.

7. Prohibited Items

Adult-only

We do not allow pornography, adult videos/DVD’s, or adult sex toys to be sold on Handyloft. We also do not accept ads offering prostitution/ escort services.

Alcohol

We don’t allow any alcohol to be sold on Handyloft due to age restrictions and licensing laws.

Counterfeit, Replica and Trademarked Items

Counterfeits, unauthorised replicas (such as counterfeit watches, handbags, or other accessories) or unauthorised copies (such as copies of software programmes, video games, music albums, movies, television programmes, or photographs) are not permitted on Handyloft. Unauthorised copies include (but are not limited to) copies that are pirated, duplicated, backed-up or bootlegged. It is illegal to sell unauthorised copies of media.

Guideline: If the product you’re selling bears the name or logo of a company, but it wasn’t made or endorsed by that company, don’t post it on Handyloft.

Drugs and Drug paraphernalia

The safety of Handyloft users is extremely important to us. As well as drugs banned under legislation, we also do not allow items which can be used to consume drugs.

Endangered or Protected animals or animal parts

We do not accept the sale of animals that are protected species by law. We do not accept the sale of any animal parts, whether protected species or not.

Firearms and Ammunition

Safety concerns as well as national and international laws mean that no guns or ammunition can be sold on Handyloft. We also do not allow airguns, even those legally available.

Fireworks

We don’t allow Illegal fireworks to be sold.

Human Parts and Remains

Humans, the human body or any human body parts may not be listed on Handyloft. Examples of prohibited items include, but are not limited to: organs, bone, blood, waste, sperm, and eggs.

Lottery Tickets

Lottery tickets may not be sold on Handyloft.

Multi-level Marketing, Pyramid, Matrix and Trading Schemes

Handyloft users do not find these ads useful or relevant. As a result, we do not allow these ads on Handyloft.

Personal information or Mailing Lists

We do not accept the sale of bulk email, Internet Protocol (IP), Instant Messenger (IM), or mailing lists that contain names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal identifying information. Any tools or software designed predominantly to send unsolicited commercial messages (UCE or “spam”) will not be permitted.

Prescription Drugs and Materials

We do not allow any prescription drugs to be sold on Handyloft. This includes “over the counter” items.

Stolen Items

Handyloft works closely with law enforcement authorities. The sale of stolen property on our site is strictly prohibited and we will do everything we can to support the police in achieving successful conviction of any offenders.

Tobacco and Tobacco Products

Tobacco is controlled by law. We do not allow any cigarettes, cigars or loose tobacco to be sold on Handyloft.

Unlocking Software

Software to help “unlock” any electrical items is not allowed to be sold on Handyloft.

Weapons & Knives

Safety concerns as well as national laws mean that no weapons or knives can be sold on Handyloft. This includes historical ornamental items.
